Attendance and Punctuality

If you child is unable to come into school, please report their absence through our ParentMail app via the ‘Absence’ tab, stating your child’s reason for absence and length of absence.  Please report before 9.00am on the day of absence.

The school requests proof of all appointments that require taking your child out during the school day.  This could be an appointment card, text, email or letter.

Where possible, please advise the school of any appointments in advance, by either emailing or calling the School Office.  This helps us ensure your child is ready for collection.

Good attendance and punctuality is crucial to ensure your child makes good progress.

Our full Attendance and Punctuality Policy can be found on our school website: https://www.st-marysprittlewell.com/attendancelateabsence-procedures/

 Timings for the School day

East Street site:

8.30am – 3.00pm

Boston Avenue site:

8.45am – 3.15pm

Please ensure that your child is at school on time every day.  When children arrive late they miss out on important learning experiences and input from their Class Teacher.

When children arrive late, it can be distressing form them and this will have a negative impact as they begin the school day.

If your child is going to be arrive late, you must phone the school to inform us of when to expect your child.
