Extra-Curricular Clubs

We provide many other extra-curricular clubs during and after school - please see our below list.  These should be booked at the beginning of term via your Magic Bookings account.  Clubs are on a first come, first served basis.

We also offer Music Lessons in school on a weekly basis in conjunction with Southend City Council.  For further information and prices, please speak with our School Office Team.

Before-School Club, Get Set Go! Club and After-School Club

At St Mary’s we provide childcare before and after school to support parents/carers who are working. We provide a safe and happy environment for the children in our care.

Before School Club

This club is aimed at families who require early morning childcare and will continue to run from 7.30am each day.

The cost will be:

· £4 per session (including breakfast and activities)

· £2 per session for children eligible for Pupil Premium

Get Set Go! Club

Children in Years 2 to Year 6 will be able to attend our new Get Set Go! Club, from 8.15am to 8.45am.

Children will be provided with breakfast and activities before the start of the school day. There will be no charge for this club.

To help us plan staffing and resources effectively, both Before School Club and Get Set Go! Club must be booked in advance via Magic Booking.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Get Set Go! Club to children in Reception and Year 1 next year. This is due to the logistics of moving an increased number of younger children between our two sites and the additional staffing required to do this safely. However, once the whole school is located on a single site, we plan to extend the provision to Reception and Year 1 pupils from September 2027.

Reception and Year 1 children will still be able to attend Before School Club, and they will leave at 8.15am to travel to the East Street site as they currently do.

Extra-Curricular Clubs

We also provide many other extra-curricular clubs during and after school.  A list of these can be found on the school website under the ‘Community’ tab and should be booked at the beginning of term via your Magic Bookings account.  Clubs are on a first come, first served basis.

School-run extra-curricular clubs will cost £20 per term.  This equates to approximately £2.00 per session each week, (unfortunately, if your child is absent, this will not be refunded).

Children eligible for Pupil Premium will have the cost covered through the grant

After-School Club

• 3.00pm - 6.00pm
• £13.00 per session, or £6.50 per session for those in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG)
• Tax free childcare vouchers are accepted
• Held at the East Street school site for all year groups – collection of the children is via the gate to the East Street site playground via the school car park;
• Children in Years 2 to 6 are transported over to the East Street school site on the school minibuses
• Pre-booking is required via your Magic Bookings account and payment is made at the time of booking.  Bookings are open for the current half term and can be made and cancelled up until 12.00pm on the day
• A healthy snack is provided – e.g. toast, crackers and cheese, bagels, pancakes, yoghurts, fruity cake bars and raisins.  Fruit is readily available to the children throughout the session
• Children in engage in indoor and outdoor activities
• PLEASE NOTE - Late collection – If a child is collected after 6.00pm, a charge of £5.00 per 15 minutes late is made. In the case of a child not collected after 30 minutes and no contact with the parent/carer, the school will make contact with Social Care
