School Lunch Arrangements
School lunches can be provided by the school and must be paid for using the Magic Bookings website www.magicbookings.co.uk A registration link will be sent to you for this on your child’s first day at school.
A school lunch costs £2.50. Your child should let their class teacher during morning registration in class whether they will be having a school lunch or packed lunch.
Children entitled to Free School Meals (FSM) or Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) must also book lunches so that our School Kitchen Team are aware of how many meals need to be prepared on the day.
We offer a variety of hot meals on a two-week rota, along with a vegetarian option. A Halal option is available on a Wednesday on both sites. We also offer the options of a baguette with fillings daily in addition to the normal school menu. Water and milk is available every lunch time.

Packed Lunches
Due to some of our pupils having a nut allergy, it is important that parents make sure that no nuts, no peanut butter/peanuts/Nutella/any chocolate spread or biscuits, or products that contain traces of nuts or a cream nut filling are provided in your child’s lunchbox, as these allergies can become life threatening to some children.
We also ask that there no NUTS of any kind, fizzy drinks, glass bottles/containers, or sweets in packed lunches, please.
Free School Meals (FSM), Universal Infant Free School Meals / Pupil Premium Grant (PPG)
All Children in years Reception to Year 2 are entitled to a free school lunch every day under the Universal Infant Free School Meals national government scheme (UIFSM), which means you do not have to pay for their school lunches during these school years. However, you could also qualify for what is known as the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG).
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is a grant given by the government to schools. Many children from low-income families or families who receive certain benefits are entitled to a sum of money paid to their school to boost their learning and experiences.
The Pupil Premium is received by schools so they can identify the areas, in which the money could be spent to benefit eligible children. Some examples are employing specialist staff, helping towards breakfast / after-school club or extra-curricular activities subsidising trips and investing in resources. It could also help with uniforms.
